Cancellations and postponements to reduce the spread of coronavirus

March 13, 2020

A Message from the MetroWest Health Foundation:

Our top priority is the health of the MetroWest region. The MetroWest Health Foundation is working closely with our community partners and grantees to evaluate how we can best assist communities as they deal with COVID-19.

While the risk in our area remains low, this situation is evolving quickly, and we are closely monitoring the situation with local and state public health officials.

One of the most important things we can do is help reduce the spread of the coronavirus by cancelling and postponing group meetings.

To this end, we have postponed the following events:

  • March 26 Annual Dinner
  • April 2 Health Equity Training

We have cancelled the following events:

  • March 16 Health Disparities Task Force Meeting
  • All external organizations’ use of the foundation’s meeting rooms, unless the space and/or teleconferencing resources are needed to directly address the pandemic.

All internal meetings and events will be moving to phone and video conference.

To take some immediate pressure off grant applicants, we have delayed the submission date for our spring grant cycle by two weeks to April 9th at 4:00 pm.

The foundation remains open, with staff working both in-house and remotely as needed.

If you have questions, concerns or ideas of how we may assist in protecting the public health of the region, please email us at
